Heating mat size advice

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some advice.

To apply on an Exo-Terra medium terrarium measuring 60x45x45cm, would a Heat Wave Desert Large measuring 27,9x43,2cm be appropriate or too large?

Or would the Heat Wave Desert Medium (26.5x28cm) be better for this terrarium?

Don't quote me on this... but I think heat mats should only take up 1/3 of the size of the tank or cage. If that helps.

So the Heat Wave Desert Large (27,9x43,2cm - 11” x 17”) will probably be too big for my 60x45x45cm (24” x 18” x 18”) terrarium correct? :/

Yeah, I'd go with the medium. I'm familiar with those heat pads. I use a couple of them in my collection.

My only issue is that I also hope to incubate their eggs in a small deli cup inside the terrarium, and after to keep the two hatchlings from those eggs in a small faunarium inside the terrarium. Do you think the medium one will be enough to accommodate that setup and heat everything?
