Heating Question

So I am currently wishing to put tile down as a substrate in my gecko's (soon to be new) cage. The tile is about a half inch thick so jsut wondering if the heat will still transfer well enough through the tile? He's got paper down in his current cage so didnt want to end up making it too cold for him lol.

Yes, the heat will still get through. Make sure you get a rheostat or thermostat because regular UTHs can get really hot. Hook up the heat pad to the rheo/thermostat and experiment with the temps to see how they hold up.
