Heating with no power????

Hey guys, I have a friend up in Canada that is powerless because of the storms. She has a corn snake and is worried because the tank is getting cool, was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on what you do if you lose electricity and still have to keep the heat up in tanks?

Hand warmers untill power goes on.

Yep Hand warmers. I have had to do this a couple of winters when we lost power. Put them inside a sock though because they can get very hot!

Before every fall/winter season I go online and stock up on the warmers used when shipping reptiles. This way I'm prepared for when there is a power outage. One year I forgot to order so I went to the sporting goods store and got the hand warmers. I do prefer the shipping warmers though as they are bigger.
