:main_huh:My geckos heat pad went out. So, when I go out to get it, I might pick up some other heating supplies. Is there any extra heating that's optional?

Ceramic heat emitter
Red/Blue heating lights
Heat cable (if you have multiple enclosures - I don't see much use for just one)

Avoid things like heat rocks, as they can cause burns to your reptile.

AVOID almost everuything he said..

the only thinh you should be using is under tank heat..
no lamps
no heat emitters


heat cord is okay.
just stick with a heat pad though

I don't use any of that stuff. Just tired

What would you tell people who can't get the correct heat through a heat pad alone? I'm not saying these are replacements for a heat pad (except the cable), but there are additional heating options.

If used correctly, the options I listed should be fine.

I thought you were saying they are adequate substitutes...

if you have a very cold room a heat emitter or bulb is acceptable.
