Buying a new bulb from online. good places to go is zoomed. Try putting a cover over the top of your tank, maybe moving the location of the tank. For the most part its nothing really to worry about these guys are little troopers. 10 degrees off isnt a real big deal.

Telling someone that 78 degrees on the warm side of the tank is fine is completely incorrect information. Just because an animal may be able to survive at this temp does not make it correct. They need this heat to properly digest/metabolize there food along with helping to keep there immune system running at full capacity.

The first questions should be, where are you reading this temp from (air temp or surface temp) and what are you using for heating? (lights, UTH, or both) UTH are the best option for leopard geckos even though if done properly lights can work ok too.

If this is the surface/floor temp of the warm side of the enclosure, the OP is correct in thinking this is to low. If this is an air temp, I would recommend getting a surface temp on the warm side (digital thermometer with a probe).
