This seemed a very fitting day to join this forum as about a half hour ago my eldest daughter announced that her last but one Crested Gecko egg hatched after 75 days incubation.
We are so pleased! Just one more to go for this year-maybe even tonight??

We have lots of animals including 3 adult Crested Geckos and 5 babies and an egg!!
Nice of Josh to create this forum-thanks!

Thanks for the messages.
Not sure if I should ne replying here or starting new thread.
We have babies that are 4 mths old-should we house this new baby in a different tank as there is quite a size difference between the 4 mth old babies and the newly hatched?(wondered if the bigger geckos would damage the smaller?)
The other egg has not hatched yet-I wonder if it will as usually they hatch around the same time?

I wouldn't house the geckos till about the same size just to be safe and if the egg was laid on the same date then it should hatch around sometime and if it doesn't then it was probaly infertile

the egg was just as big as the other though as if the growth rate was the same-should I try and help it out or leave it be?
Its been almost 24 hrs since we saw the first baby

Mmm well I would leave it because it can take 90 to 120 daysfor all eggs to hatch but I would leave it. But watch it good luck

ok I will be patient but usually for us they tend to hatch very close together.

OH OH I should have checked before I wrote that-its almost out baby number 2!!!!
My daughter is out she will be so excited to come home in the next half hour and get this news.Thanks for the help anyway!!
