Hello,

I am a member of TortoiseForums and was informed of this forum. I currently do not care for a Gecko, but I am very interested in them and will probably be helping my son care for one in the near future.

Welcome and thanks for joining! Hopefully you will be able to eventually find all the info you need for your son's future gecko! :)

Welcome!
If you've got any questions about which gecko to choose, when you do decide to get one, don't hesitate to ask. I've got quite a few different types of geckos and can help point you in the right direction. I'm sure anyone else on here could help too.

He wants a Purple Gecko, my wife does not want a Tokay gecko, because of their unique call is used in Asian Horror movies. She is Thai and very superstitious.

Welcome to the forum and did to hear it from me aka Turtle Guru and I suggest for a beginner a leopard gecko or a crested gecko also

A leopard gecko or crested would be best as a starter. You can sometimes find a leopard gecko with a purple tint to it, but that's probably the closeet to purple you'll get.

Thanks, for the info. Do female Tokay geckos call?

I imagine that whatever gecko we get, I will end up caring for it. No matter I love reptiles.

Wow the coloring on that blizzard morph is something else. I can't wait for the reptile show where you can see all the different colors/morphs/variations

There's a couple locally here in SoCal.
I bet there's some regional ones up where you are... At least annually
