My A/C broke yesterday. Now my incubator is having a hard time staying at the 84 degrees I have it set at. I'm currently putting ice in it everytime I notice it go above my desired temp of 84 (about every 1 to 2 hours) but I'm not always home to replenish the ice. Is there anything else I can do until the repair man fixes the problem. It's going to be 2000 dollars and they can't even start until tuesday.

**Also what is the likely hood of these eggs turning out male? I recently put eggs in on the 27th of May, and the 3rd and 9th of June. I'm not really worried about the eggs that were in before the 27th, unless I have to worry about deformities from the temp. fluctuations.

The same thing happened to me last summer, and my husband wound up taking the incubators to work with him because the temperatures inside my house were well over 95 degrees for 3 days! I was about to pack up all my geckos and go stay at a motel when the A/C repair guy called and said he could come out in an hour. Whew!

As far as your hatchlings being male, it will only be the embryos that are around 2-3 weeks into their incubation that would be affected since that is the time when gender is determined.
