Hi, i recently made an account on this website and read a few posts and it seems this is where i would get my help from, ive been worried lately i currently own 2 leopard geckos got them from the pet store the 2nd one i got was purchased about a month after i got my first one they are roughly 5 inches in length they have kinda small chubby bellys lol what im worried about is my oldest one would eat and eat and the younger one would eat then it stoped it hasnt eat in about 3 days now but i fed them size 4 hoppers and i think they may have been a bit too big because there both bringing them back up in the morning ive downgraded the hoppers to size 3 and my oldest one eats them all up now like usual but the other wont eat atall now its a male and a female i have 100% sure of this they lie on top of each other and sleep all the time but the male can get a bit jumpy and run away from the other sometimes just when there walking about but the males tail is a bit fatter and teh females tail isnt stick thin but its not that fat and im worried because i dont know if anythings wrong with them !, ps the male when it eat likes to eat dusted black size 3 crickets :), is there anyone who could possibly help me out here ? the viv is 20 gallon too with an UTH and an exo terra glow lamp above the tank one hide on the hot side moist box another hide on the cool side aswell as the food and water dishes and a big log in the middle for them to lie under. the temp usually is at 34.5 the digital thermometer reads this the UTH is connected to a thermostat too for temp changing. Thanks alot

A gecko not eating for a few days is not necessarily a sign of something wrong. No one here can tell you your pets are 100% healthy over the internet, a vet would be the one to do that. What we could do is help you get a better understanding of what is going on, but first you need to copy and answer the questions in this link: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=70912

Also, pictures say 1000 words.

Please fill out the questionnaire and we can actually help you a bit. As mentioned, you can use tinypic.com or photobucket (or anything similar) to upload your photos. tinypic.com is great as you don't need to make an account.

Do you monitor weight?, even though you say there young, those tails still look to thin. How long have you had them in your care aswell?. How are there bowel movements?, im asking these questions because it can help better understand whats going on. Plus you said you brought in a new cage mate for your previous gecko, that can cause stress which can lead to loss of apetite. Some people may think because they 'get along' the first couple days/weeks its smooth sailing. Incidents can happen randomly and not on your watch which is why its advised not to house geckos together, but people do have success with it. Did you quarantine the new gecko?. Like the others said fill out the questionaire:main_thumbsup:
