8 months ago (approx) I have bought a beautiful, leopard gecko; Rango. He was always a great eater and I never had any reason to be worried.. until recently... He stopped eating, he became weak and can hardly hold him self up.. he has sore areas that look very red and swollen above his back legs. I tried everything to help him, I twice gave him a warm bath but nothing. His faeces are white however they used to be brow and white. He has always got plenty of water, a moist hide, a warm hide, cold and hot side. The vivarium is pretty big, he has always got a lot of calcium available to him. I have tried everything but non of my hopes worked. So today at 8:00am; I decided to go visit the vet. She said she is not a certificated and can not do much.. He is young and one of my options is to put him down in the vet; however I love him and would not want to lose him however if that will take his misery away from him then I'm with it. Please tell me what I can do or what you would do in my place. I do not consider putting him in a fridge or smashing his head with a brick as that is just really cruel. I will definitely not give him to a larger lizard. Any thing i can do? 20131005_135223.jpg I dont want to lose him 20131005_135223.jpg 20131005_135227.jpg 20131005_135231.jpg 20131005_135237.jpg 20131005_135242.jpg Putting rango to sleep is the most advanced thing i will do and will be the last. Please help.

I don't have a clue what's wrong with him but he looks like he is miserable and probably is in a lot of pain. I would check Arav to see if you can find a reptile specialist near you but if you can't I think the kindest thing might be to take him back to the vet and have him put down. He looks like he would need some serious medical treatment to survive. Best of luck and hope it works out the best it can :/

First things that came to my mind were infection or tumor. Both of which requires a lot of medical attention, and neither of which have guaranteed good out comes. I'm really sorry, I know how much it'll sadden you but I think it's time to say goodbye. Your last loving act to him will be to let him go

oh poor baby :(
is it possible that it could be gout? Iv never seen anything like this before.
I know exactly how you feel but it dose look really painful and he has stopped eating ect, i fear if you cant find a reptile vet SOON, the best thing you should do is to have him put to sleep at the normal vets :( :( :(

Is this genitalia related perhaps? Or are the sores / tumors just around the upper crease of his rear legs?
Poor poor guy...I hope he's able to make it to the vet to get looked at at the very least.
