8 months ago (approx) I have bought a beautiful, leopard gecko; Rango. He was always a great eater and I never had any reason to be worried.. until recently... He stopped eating, he became weak and can hardly hold him self up.. he has sore areas that look very red and swollen above his back legs. I tried everything to help him, I twice gave him a warm bath but nothing. His faeces are white however they used to be brow and white. He has always got plenty of water, a moist hide, a warm hide, cold and hot side. The vivarium is pretty big, he has always got a lot of calcium available to him. I have tried everything but non of my hopes worked. So today at 8:00am; I decided to go visit the vet. She said she is not a certificated and can not do much.. He is young and one of my options is to put him down in the vet; however I love him and would not want to lose him however if that will take his misery away from him then I'm with it. Please tell me what I can do or what you would do in my place. I do not consider putting him in a fridge or smashing his head with a brick as that is just really cruel. I will definitely not give him to a larger lizard. Any thing i can do?
I dont want to lose him
Putting rango to sleep is the most advanced thing i will do and will be the last. Please help.
