So I got off work last night and when I went to check the incubator it was turned off, my cat had turned off the power strip. I turned it back on and the temp was 69 deg, I dont know how long it was off but it was ok when I left for work.
I had the thermstat set for 88 deg and I have about 80 eggs in there at this time, some eggs where just put in some are ready to hatch.
What are the odds that my eggs will be ok?

I think it really all depends on how long the incubator was off... If it was 69 inside the bator, then it must've been off for a while... That being said, they are tough lil creatures, and could very well be perfectly fine... I guess you just wait and see. I hope everything goes okay!

I heard that if eggs are cooler than 78 for a period of time(I dont know how long) that they can die. You may also get geckos with deformities. Hopefully not, only time will tell.

We had a power failure a couple years back. Our incubator got down to 70 for about 3 hrs before we got home and put in a couple hand warmers ( which actually worked and got temp up). We only had about 30 eggs. 2 egg deaths , 1 had a foot deformity and the rest hatched just fine....no issues at all. Unfortunatly it will be a wait and see situation. I hope it turns out ok.
