hi, my leo (liz) hasn't been eating properly for the last 9 days, but i think thats due to the fact i only had her for 9 days, bought her from a pet shop, she has signs of some niglect, all her toes are short from bad shedding/skin being left on her toes, untill lastnight she had only had 4 circkets and 2 meal worms (4 crickets on 19-2-11 and 2 mealworms 22-2-11), tonight she took a wax worm, 3 small locusts and 1 cricket but she threw it back up, well most of it.

did she eat too much? she's 7.5" long

i am going to get some reptile worming stuff soon as.

have a little issue with temps atm, i have 2 exo terra thrmos on the floor and im not sure if there reading accurate, have a digital thermo on order, should have arrived today, so hopefully will be hear tomorrow.

any help greatly appreciated

inconsistent temps can be a problem for her digestion especially with a leo that you mentioned was neglected. It would probably be good to actually raise the temps a few degrees higher than normal to try and boost her metabolism and digestive process. If she was neglected and not eating much before you got her a sudden increase in food can cause them stress as well. Just maybe try cutting back the amount of food your giving her until she can keep that down and starts pooping properly then increase the food amounts slowly.

You only had her for 9 days, sometimes i takes weeks to get a gecko to feel comfortable to eat in his new enclosure so if she ate that's a good sign. Experiment with the food and change the amount of worms you give her weather it's just crickets only or mealworms only that's what the quarantine is for right? to know your gecko's food consumption and everything else about the gecko and it's health. I would suggest buying a digital gram scale because that'll help you record the gecko's progress.

My gecko threw up once about a year ago, she never did it again. It was random and I took her to the vet but they could not find anything wrong. They suggested that she might have ate to quickly, which she was doing...

yeah she might have eaten too fast as she didnt eat properly for around a week, she seems to be fine now, i've been feeding her 4-6 small locusts every other day and hasnt been sick and has been pooing ok, she's alot more relaxed and active, i weighed her today and she weighs about 51g, my temps were ok in the end, they was a lil bit high, about 98*f so only needed to turn my thermostat down a little bit, thank you all for your help :D
