Help on rack

Ok so i have a few questions-

1. So im starting my rack. I want to house hatchlings-adults in one rack. The problem is the tubs i want are all different heights and i dont want the rack to look funky. Is there like one specific sized tub that can be used for hatchlings-adults? Would 15qts be okay for a hatchling? I know 6qts is best but...could i use 15? If so that would be great because then i could just get some 15's for all ages.

2. Do i need flexwatt? I know a guy who breeds snakes and he uses the heat tape from home depot thats basically the same as flexwatt. He said the hottest it gets is 95 and thats without a thermo/rheostat. Could i use that kind from home depot?

3. Do i need aluminum tape or can i use some other tape to tape it down? I heard electrical tape....is that ok?

Thanks in advance:main_thumbsup: :D

Personally I wouldn't use Flexwatt at all I prefer ZooMed Heat Cable(I`ve had 3 near fires with Flexwatt), to answer your other question Justan I use 6 qts for hatchlings up to 25 grams then 15/16s for the rest of their lives. I have raised animals hatchling-adult in 15/16 qts so I`m am okay saying that they will be alright in them. I can't say anything about Home-Depots heat tape since I do not use heat-tape anymore.

I would use heat cable too its cheap, easy to install and flexible. I would suggest buying the tubs you want before they change the model as they often do :( .
I also have a question.. is their a tool you could use to make a groove or space for the heat cable to do in?

I would use flex watt all the way! especially in colder areas! I wouldn't use any other tape than the foil tape since its rated for hot applications. On tubs i am using Iris's 12.2qt www.containerstore.com for hatchlings and adults. They work great! Good luck!
