I know I post on this alot, but I am a little stressing. Before I left this morning my geckos tank had no poop and he had no worms in his dish from the previous night (because he is young nd eats at night I leave whatever he doesnt eat in the mealworm bowl) well I came home around 10 to find a normal ish poop on his rock and then what looks like either pooped out or thrown up mealworms. Im scared a little I think he just ate to much the other night. My uncle fed him and he over fed him because "he liked the way he striked" that got me worried so I didnt feed him alot the next night just about 6 worms. Well I got scared right now that he is sick so I weighed him and from last time I weighed to now he gained 3 grams he is now 33 grams. Before 30 grams. So idk I hope its just over feeding. I will post pictures soon. Thank you if u read all od this and im sorry I wrote so much. Concered new gecko mommy. :-\

The first pic looks to have no urate, is shaped like a stomach, and i hope he didnt pass that big mass through his rear....ouch.

The second pic looks like a normal sized urate/poop and a urate/super-poop.

If i had that much food in my body (second pic), i would probably throw up what i just ate. Is he young enough to not have learned "selfcontrol" on eating limits yet? if hes young, id say just hope he has been eating faster than he can digest.

If hes mature, or just to be safe (recommended), limit his feeding, recheck floor temps, and be sure theres nothing in the tank that can impact him.

Either way, watch fir the next poops....which may take a couple days if he had tummy aches and/or doesnt want to eat tonight.

Okay thank u I have been getting so worried... and well the floor temps are from 89-92 degree and I only give him 8-10 items a night so maybe I should cut down?? He is 4 months old

Everything is different in size. You gotta be more specific than saying "8 to 10 items". lol

But what you feed him, I would feed him the low end of the average....so "8 items" for 3 or 4 days, if that is what he eats in 15 minutes.

Be sure the floor temp NEVER gets higher than 92, tops....90 is recommended. And it should have a gradual cooling gradient toward the coolside, roomtemp (or about 70-77ish).

The first picture looks like puke. This doesn't mean your gecko is sick. He could have accidentally over eaten. If you are really worried, check your temps, too low floor temps can also cause a gecko to puke because it can't digest properly. I don't think 8-10 meal worms is too much. You could cut down on how much you feed him at once so instead of 8-10 meal worms all together, give 4-5 meal worms in the evening and then give 4-5 meal worms later at night. This would slow down how fast he eats.

If he continues to puke, meaning, if you find puke everyday then you make want to call a vet.

I had a gecko who would get over excited with food and would over eat or eat too fast sometimes when she was young (3-4 months old). It caused her to puke sometimes. And she would eat around 10-15 meal worms total. Most of the time she was fine and as she got older, I stopped finding the puke. I'm not saying that she puked every time I fed, but like once every month she might get too over excited and eat to fast/too much at once.

Again if you are finding puke everyday, you should call a vet.

Okay this was much relief you guys thank u :) and so far no puke, no poop yet either. And my hot side floor temps rarely get to 92 ussaly 89 and cool side is very cool because my room is always cold, even the house. And I stopped with mealworms for the days after that and tonight. Just 5 small crickets and he ate them fine. And he chases them so thats good. He still sits in his humid hide since I put it in there never leaves it

My girls Ruby and Slinky tend to stay on the coolside (seemingly) ALL the time; either in the moist hide or in the large cool dryhide. However, since I tend to stay up late, I turn the lights off about 10pm...by 11pm they come out and slowly stretch/wander over to the large warm hide. Then they warm inside/infrontof the warm hide for about 5 minutes before they start eating crickets (which I usually drop in while they are asleep at 10pm).

Long story short...I would bet he comes out and warms up when needed..he might just be shy. :)
