My leopard gecko, Phoenix, began to ovulate a couple months ago. She passed multiple infertile eggs and began to lose a lot of weight. I moved her into a different room separate from the males and she has just been refusing solid foods ever since ovulation began. She has gone from being my fattest gecko to being extremely underweight and i'm worried. On another forum people told me not to worry and that the hunger strike would end after ovulation, but i'm not sure if she's done yet. There is a hard mass in her mid belly and i'm not sure if it's an egg that hasn't been passed yet. She's been ovulating for about 4-5 months now.

How long has it been since she laid her last batch of infertile eggs? That does look like an egg in there, and I would be concerned about egg binding.

Does your humid hide have substrate for her to lay in?

Yes it has coconut fibers. Her last egg was laid a month to two months ago, but this mass didn't appear until about a week ago. I've had another egg bound gecko once before and the procedure cost around 600.

When feeling her belly, the picture doesn't justify it much, but it almost seems as if there are two bumps on the top of the egg. It feels like it was previously broken, and it feels much harder than a normal egg. It felt like a bone at first. She went from 70 grams to 47.

47 isn't too bad.

Honestly, I don't think anyone on the internet can give you a very good answer since we can't even feel it. It looks like an egg to me, but that's all I can really say. If you're really worried, have you considered get a vet's opinion?
