Help Please?

A months ago I bought my third leo from a pet shop partially because he had three toes in very bad shape from not being able to get some of the shed off. I spoke to everyone in the reptile department and was assured they would look after the reptiles better. I was in today and behold the sickest looking baby I have ever seen. He was in a tank with 2 others they have been there since I got my baby out of the same tank. I would have bought him if not for the fact of he looks like he wont make it through the night disgustingly small the tank looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks and the other two in with it are both larger. It didn’t walk around or lift his head just laid there I only know he’s alive because he was breathing. The manager was not in tonight and know one else wanted to deal with me is there anything I can do? There is no way a pet shop should be able to get away with this. Any input would help thank you I am calling the manager first thing in the morning.

Is it a locally owned store or a big chain? If it is a chain get in contact with their corporate headquarters.

Well i am gettiing somewhere the main reptile guy was talking with me and also knows there is a problem and i have an appt to talk to the owner later today... It may not be the biggest difference but, if they are going to have leos maybe i can make enough of a difference for them to be treated better...

If that doesn't work you can try the spca in your area. Maybe they'll be able to help.

I had an issue with a chain store around me. A leo was "crunchy" all in the corner. The others were fine, but I promptly asked to make sure the leo was okay, it wasn't of course. The lady I talked to was genuinely upset and immediately took it out and cleaned the enclosure. Track someone down! This baby needs help! There's BOUND to be a supervisor on duty if nothing else. And if they don't care they need their jobs reprimanded.
