Well currently I have a rack with five 32 qt tubs in it and I plan to replace it with ten 15 qt tubs because I have a couple geckos housed together at the moment and I want to seperate everyone to their own home. When setting up a 15qt tub for an adult do you all just use one moist hide with food and water bowl or two hides? And do you all place the moist hide in the back? I was wondering this because i didnt know if you kept the inside of the moist hide around 91-93 for digestion. Dont you need a hide with floor temps around these? Also it would be very helpful if I could see photos of your alls 15qt adult setups.
Thanks alot,
Denver H

Thanks a lot! Anyone else wanna share pictures of their adult breder tubs? I was wondering if anyone used both a dry and moist hide in their 15 qt. Im scared they won't have proper belly heat for digestion with only a moist hide.

My adult and hatchling tubs look the same other than the hides. The adult hides have moistened moss in a larger container with a hole in the TOP, and the hatchling tubs have moistened paper towel in a smaller container with the hole in the SIDE. I keep the hides at the back of the tub, half on the heat, half off.

I was actually working on getting this information up earlier today so I could post it tomorrow. Here are pics of my tubs.

I use back heat so i have no defined hot spot with belly heat. So basically the rear 1/4 of the tub is 90-95. Would it be fine to just put only a moist hide in the back? Also may I ask what those black hides are?
thanks alot,

The black hides are the dry hides but have been discontinued. I'm not even sure what company made them anymore. I'm currently looking for a replacement but haven't found anything suitable.

And yea just go ahead and place the moist hide toward the back.

Hmmm.... I set up a practice tub today and the rear moist hide only made it to 85. Will I have to use a dry hide in the back to have a hot spot of 92 without belly heat? Im using rear heat.
