Help! Slight prolapse on my female gecko :(

I notice my female leopard gecko's unusual poop, like some bb pellets like form and scattered all over the place. So when I checked the femoral area, there was a prolapse. It must have hurt her everytime she poops. I directly soak her with warm water+sugar solution for an hour and wipe the prolapsed area with a q tip. Then returned my gex to her bin and moistened the tissue paper beddings. The next morning I checked the area again. There was still a prolapse, it has retracted a bit but still it is visible. We don't really have a reptile vet in my place :( Any other options I can do to retract it? I just learned that even female leopard geckos can have a prolapse.

I have to agree with sausage, the best advise is to take her to a vet! While waiting for your appointment at the vet, you can bathe her in water with sugar to help her in the meantime. But as sausage said, a visit to the vet is a must! She might have problems with her intestines and that's not something that is easily fixed :(

I wish you all the luck :)

Btw, she is absolutely gorgeous!

I would still try to take her to a vet, even if its not a reptile vet. You could make some calls to different vets and see if one can take a look at your gecko :) You can try to soak her in warm sugar water every day. That can work really well sometimes :)

tnx, still no vet for my gex. but I've been soaking her for 4 days now with water+sugar solution. Somehow the prolapse has subsided a little bit. Continuing to do this til a week. Hoping this will fully retract. Soaking her twice a day for 45mins each soak.

I really hope she gets better after this :) Keep posting updates of how she is doing! She is very beautiful :)

And ohh I almost forgot! I friend of mine who breeds leopard geckos had this same problem, and it turned out to be its intestines "falling out". She managed to fix the problem, but when she fed it bigger insects and superworms, they caused the intestines to fall out again. So, to be on the safe side, do not feed her anything else than smaller crickets and mealworms for a while in case its her intestines collapsing.

Thanks will keep that in mind. She's ok for the moment. Had to soak her for a week. Everything's fine for now but I'm still observing her condition. Will update some pics after 2 weeks or so just to make sure its fully healed. For now she's on a small crix diet coz she's not stimulated with non moving insects(mealworms). Im still observing her coz I think the cause of the cloacal prolapse is a parasite.

This can be caused due to vitamin deficiency. Are you gutloading your feeders and putting vitamin powder on them?

I notice the prolapse 3 days after I got her. So its probably there b4 I got here but the prolapse still looks fresh though. It has retracted now but still observing her. She's 45 grams now my target weight for her is 55 grams. Slow eater but its ok for me as long as she's eating regularly :)
