Okay, so I live kind of in the woods. My gecko rack is up on a table. I do not have a "trail" of ants marching to and fro but it seems every few days I open a random bin to clean it and I'll have a pile of ants on the feces of one of the geckos. I cannot figure out where they are coming from (as there is no trail), or a logical way to keep them out of the bins. I could line the underside of the table with vaseline but that seems messy... I don't know if they make like a strip ant paper kind of like they do with flies. Perhaps I could use double sided tape.

Any ideas?

Some people use "ant voodoo" which is basically done by drawing a circle around the table legs with some chalk. Sometimes ants just won't cross that chalk line. Others will rub some vinegar at the base of the legs with positive results as well. A method I've always used when camping is placing small containers like empty tuna cans (cleaned very well of course) filled with water under each leg of the table. I hope you find some sort of solution even if it's not one of these methods.

They actually have a product that is supposed to be like a bug barrier foe your house. I'll see if I can find the name of it and let you know
