my nieces gecko is sick. she lives in indiana and i cant see it and this is the description she gave me. its laying on its back and it wont eat and its belly is turning black or is just very dark.
she feeds it meal worms and it is on paper towels and she only has one.

You need to put up more information before anyone can really decide whats wrong.

1. What is the cage temp?
2. Is the gecko the right weight?
3. Has it been eating right?

I would tell your niece to call a vet immediatly, thats really the best way to save it. Good luck...

i would have to assume its something serious as i for 1 have never seen a gecko lay on its back...either something serious or the gecko has been watching the dog too much... lets hope for option 2!

Laying on back and dark belly, any way you look at it it doesn't sound good. i would suggest taking it to the vet with a fresh fecal sample.
