So two days ago beans our younger leo was shedding and I helped him out by peeling most of it off. Ever since then she's been keeping her eyes closed and will not eat and seems kind of out of it. Could I have hurt her eyes when I was pulling the skin off? What should I do about it? I've been lightly swabbing them with a wet qtip the last two days and it seems to help periodically. Her eyes don't seem to have any goop on them though?

There may be some stuck shed on her inner eyelid. It's hard to see cause it usually is black and blends in really well. I'm not quite sure how to get it off safety so youll have to wait for someone else to come along.

Sorry, I can't help. My girl Tippy had a bad shed once, so I took her to the vet. She gave me some eye drops and Tippy was great again in no time. Ever since, though, she has had a hard time shedding around her eyes. I use mineral oil and a qtip which usually does the trick. You might want to see your vet for some eye drops.

Took her to the vet and the shed may have been just a coincidence to her condition. He said that she could have heart or liver failure, her stomach has become large. We've been trying to feed her baby food, and keep her warm. The doctor said her stomach was full of fluid. He prescribed her some liquid amoxil.

Should I get a second opinion? Anyone have any guidance or suggestions?

So we got a second opinion and this vet said that it is possible that she may have impaction from the mealworms she had been eating, he stated he'de call a herpatologist and get back to us. For now he gave us Baytril, she seems to slowly be getting better. We just noticed a big sloppy dump in her terranium and her belly seems smaller. Somewhat wondering if it may have been puke as well. Anyways anyone with ideas can chime in.......
