i bought my leopard gecko a rock so he could have something to climb. then i saw him starting to lick it. he keeps licking it like its water or something. after a while, he tries to bite it. y is this??? is it bad? he keeps doing this.

My boyfriends chameleon does this to anything new in his environment or anythign that changes. Maybe your gecko doesnt like change? Not sure waht to say other than maybe he is trying to find out what the heck this new thing is thats in his home

did you wash the rock thoroughly before putting it in the tank?

if so...he could just be getting used to it

if not...wash it and put it back in and see what happens then

i think your leo may be just getting used to it.

you should have seen my leo, Spaz, get used to her new tree hide. she just sat there and stared at it like "WTF is that?!"

just keep an eye on your leo and see what happens.

did you upload the image from your pc or is it hosted on another website?

well, it shows up when i view my profile, but i dont see it when i post something.

you probably only uplaoded your profile pic, when you go to your editing page, hit edit avatar, thats the pic that will be shown in the forum

yeah, the avatar is under your username when you post, the profile pic is in your profile.
