Hi I went away from thursday to last night and my friend popped into feed my gecko who it appears to have lost his toe :main_no: he was fine when I left no obvious signs of anything wrong I picked him up to clean him out and found his toe all black.

He shed about 4 weeks ago and no problems at all with that

His little toe appears to be almost black and part of it missing

Is there anything I can do untill I can get him to a vets tomorrow afternoon - he tries to keep his weight off it and shkes his foot a lot like he is in pain!!! but has just chased and eaten 2 crickets

Please help...

Exactly what I was thinking too Roger. Sometimes it is easy to miss a stuck toe shed since they're such tiney toes but you really have to look closely when they shed and make sure it really is all gone or you will lose toes. As the skin dries it constricts the flesh of his toe basically like a tourniquet until eventually the toe dies and falls off. Honestly it's prob. a wasted trip to the vet since they won't be able to do anything for you, but having it checked is always a good idea if you're unsure how to take care of it.
