Hemipenes Out without Female

I have 8 geckos and I don't breed them, I just keep them as pets. I have a new male, we've had him for 6 months, but today I noticed when I got him out that his hemipenes were out, he isn't in a cage with a female hes in a rack with the others but they have there own separate tubs. Is there something wrong with him? I'm just really worried.
