I've got basic genetics down. But what really confuses me is the percentages with hets (66% this, 25% that) like for aptors and macks, etc. Could someone please explain this to me? :blank:
What this means is that the animal has a 66%, 50%, etc chance for being a het. You would have to breed the animal to prove if it is indeed het. If it breeds true, you can then consider it a 100% het.
keep in mine 50% het albino does not mean that you will get 50% albinos if you breed it, it means that the animal actully might not carry the albino gene at all, it means that there is only a 50% chance that it is even het. I woulnt recommend buying anything that isnt 100% het because you could infact be spending your money on a normal....
