Hi fellow Herpers, I started my love for reptiles very young. You know a kid at a state fair winning a little anole in a game or a brother that has a turtle ( I know they aren't "reptiles" but bear with me. ha ha ha . I took in injured animals and tried to help them heal enough to go back to the wild. In my young adulthood I started with a small boa and ended up pet sitting for some friends while they went on vacation.. I fell in love with the kids skinks and leopards, couldn't stop carrying their bearded dragon around on feeding runs. Decided "someday" I would have my own... fast forward to my 40's( earliy fifties now) and I finally had my own house.. I rescued some dragons and got hit with the bug. after raising and rehoming 12 babies I found homes for the adults and kept one for myself. Then I felt lonely at night still and went hey... leopards eat bugs. I have lots of bugs... and all these empty cages.. hmmmm. My sister bought cage that came with a free gecko that they really didn't want so.. I got it... woohoo im tickled at this little creature. I got a second one that was tiny and being bullied at a pet store... and recently I acquired 2 more. Along with a small banded gecko a water engineer found trapped in a well starving amoungst bodies of many more... and my turtle... Im enjoying my critters and constantly looking for ways to enrich their little lives. :p May
