hey i am starting to think i want to breed around january/febuary. Im starting to research now. So far, im starting to learn about genetics (i made a entire 20 page printable version of the genetics guide on www.newenglandreptile.com-link: http://www.newenglandreptile.com/genetics_simple_recessive.html) and im starting to read that. i currently have a female hypo tangarine that i want to breed. I am wondering something about the hatchlings. once they hatch, could i keep the hatchlings in a 10 or 20 gallon w/ the repticarpet and all the required stuff? If so, how many could i fit in it?

Hatchlings don't tend to do well if housed in crowded conditions, and older, larger babies will bully the younger ones. Each time you have a pair of eggs hatch and those hatchlings were put in the tank with the oler ones, you would risk injury and severe stress on the new ones.

I really think your best bet is to build a small rack with individual shoeboxes.

Yes a rack is your best bet. Also I don't think repti carpet would be good for babies. You have to keep the environment humid and misting the carpet could cause bacteria growth over time. Your best bet is paper towel.
