Hi, everyone!
I just found this forum. We've had our leopard gecko for about three years (he was maybe 6 months old when we got him)
I've always assumed he was male, but I am not sure honestly... We call him Ecko the Gecko. (sorry, I know its corny) I don't think he's and special type, but he doesnt exactly look like some of the normals I've seen pictures of.

If you guys have any thoughts on whether Ecko is male or female or if he is any particular type, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Welcome to the forum! He looks to be a normal. =)

Also, if you want us to tell you if he's male or female, post a picture of his vent. Or you can check yourself. It's very easy. If he's male, he'll have two bulges just below his vent and a V-shaped row of pores above his vent. If female, there will be nothing. Here's a link on how to tell. Sexing Leopard Geckos

Aww, looks very happy and plump. :) I'm tempted to say female, but the angle in the last picture isn't the best. As mentioned, you could post a straight-on picture of the vent region where the tail meets the body if you'd like us to give an answer.

Ok... Here is a better picture of the color and of the vent.

Thank you!

I'm gonna go with female because the pores arent big and waxy, and I don't really see bulges. Females do still have pores, but they vary in size. (I used to think that some of my girls were boys because of that, but then they started ovulating! :D )
