Hi, i'm Janie.
I'm 31 and just got my first gecko, a leopard one.

I've got some questions i'm afraid!!!!

Never had any sort of reptile before, so am all new to this. Had cats n dogs until now.


Doing loads of reading up on the subject, really enjoying it.

They are awesome pets and you will soon find out that leos have personalities as well! It seems weird to think they do...but really...they do!!

Any tips on taking good pics? I've tried and tried and theyre either blurred or too dark!

I did really well and picked him up for the first time ysterday loL!!!

Thats awesome! Congrats again! Well taking a new leos pics can be difficult but you can use a white piece of paper/ or blue(it make them stand out more) and shoot the cam from above then back off a bit and zoom in with a tripod if you have one. otherwise if not, use something sturdy to place the cam on and snap a pic!

If your taking pics of the underside for a sexing pic...place them on a glass table or something glass and get under it and snap a pic for us!

thanks everyone, I have to say I have never joined a forum before where eeeryone is immediatly so nice and offering so mcuh advice!
it makes a nice change from the stuffy dog ones I joined before lol

I just dont understand why some forums are like it, it puts people off joining/posting and that's the whole point of a forum/message board lol

I am sort of new and I have bought 6 or 7 books on Leopard Geckos and there are differences in what is being said.

This Forum has helped me to better understand Leos and to know that the books can sometimes be wrong.
