Hide temperature

Is 95-100°F inside the warm hide too hot? It seems like it is, but I just want to make sure. I looked at another post asking if 95°F is ok, and a lot said it was. Right now I'm going to add more substrate just to be safe.

IMO way too hot. You want the floor temp closer to 88-92. For adults I like it 88-90.

I strongly suggest investing in a thermostat to regulate the heat source. Adding substrate doesn't do much good from a safety standpoint unless there's no possible way the gecko can burrow through it.

Ok thanks! I'm getting crickets today, so I'll check out the thermostats they have there.
