I had found a good way to make hides and wanted to share with you. I realize that there are LOTS of ways to make hides (even ones very similar), but an idea is an idea and I like to share! SO...We got these plastic soup bowls that come with shrimp wonton soup in them...and also these ones (from betty crocker??) that come with 100 calorie brownies in them. They are both pretty identical, except for size (so you can choose!) and make great hides/laybox(es)!!! I also had this idea that if you are good enough, you can make hides/laybox(es) out of GREAT STUFF (see post "GREAT STUFF background")! Hope this helps.

there are a ton of household and hardware store items that are great for reptiles. i use styrofoam bowls in exactly the same way and they fit perfectly in 6qt tubs. very cool idea.

I recycle everything possible for the animals, even sell worms in former food containers like big sour cream cups. David, you will want to smooth out all the rough edges in your hide cutouts. Gex rub everything in their enclosure when they shed, and a jagged edge will cause injury.

Oh..i know. I appreciate that advise...good looking out! I will smoothe out the edges and be reenforcing the openings with black duct tape also.
