so i have been surfing this forum for the lowest and hightest temp for the hot spot and i have found that it went from 86-97 degrees.

I was trying to figure out a way that i can hatch some chicken eggs which take a month to hatch. at 100 degrees

So 100 degrees is too warm for the geckos so i was thinking of puting my newly done rack at 86 degrees for the hot spot so i can also hatch out my gecko eggs in the same rack. and put the chicken eggs in my incubator

does this sound like a good idea? It seems like 86 is a bit low but that is why i decided to ask this question.

thanks in advance

I think 86 is too low. Most people say around 90-97 for hot side. I have found that mine do good at 95ish.

Oh and i bagsy the first half chicken half leo baby :p

There are several people here on the forum, including myself (mine tends to middle out around 95F but I've seen it go up to 97F, not a big deal) that keep them like that. I've had no issues, just healthy geckos. :) but there is a lot of debate and really it comes down to what you think is best for your animal.
