We came home from a party today to find two big eggs in Hilda's cage. They're obviously not fertile (but they are hard) since she's never been with a male. I had no idea she was even gravid. It was a big shock to find them. I'm hoping those are all that she'll lay. I thought it was weird that she hasn't been eating quite as much lately, but she did eat two nights ago. It's so weird having female reptiles.

aww!!
I hope to find out some of mine are females!

I would be tempted to place some calcium in her cage for a bit just because laying eggs can be taxing on their calcium supply.

I hope that Pablo is a boy and that Crackity Jones is a boy, but the others can turn out to be girls.
In fact, as odd as it sounds that I want my chewie to be a boy, it's even odder that I want my gargoyle gecko to be a girl.:D

My girl laid eggs for months before I bred her. I just got used to having bad eggs. I still incubated them for a while, but eventually, I started throwing them away.

They wont lick from a calcium dish. You are better off feeding them Crix or Roaches dusted with calcium when they are breeding. I give my breeders dusted bugs once per week + CGD 2-3 times per week.

I occasionally spike my girl's CGD with a little extra calcium.

Ah.
Some breeders do place a dish of calcium in their crestie's cage after she's done laying, though.
I, too, thought they wouldn't lick from it.
Some do, I guess.

We tried giving her roaches last night, but she wasn't really interested. Hopefully she'll eat some tonight.:) She never even came out from her hide last night like she normally does. My poor girl.:( (Hilda is my leachie btw, I forgot to mention that.)
