We were feeding everyone tonight and happened to get to Moo and noticed that she seemed to be moving ber back legs kind of weird as she walked. Recently we noticed her front legs had started to bow unexpectedly (even though she has access to calcium 24/7 and is given it). Even noticed that her spined seems to curve a bit unusually compaired to a normal. And here's the kicker, this animal is almost a year old is is only weighing in at 20 grams. She was bought last July at a chain store. She's taken care of exactally the same way as all the others and she just doesn't seem to be thriving as well. I don't know, maybe I was seeing things. I do notice when she is in her bin she doesn't walk around, she will always just lay in one spot generally. Can never seem to get a good pic of how the spine sits to really discribe what I mean. I just looks, well, twisted.

Anyways, here is the video we shot tonight of her moving with some encouragement on the coffeetable.

:(

I can see why your concerned. She is soft bones all over the place!

Could just be something with her physiology where she cant metabolize calcium/D properly. I would highly recommend a vet visit.

+1 on the vet visit definitly has bone issues and from the way she's walking maybe neuro..there is just something about the way the back legs are moving that reminds me of neuro issues. of course it could just be the human nurse in me LOL

Sorry about your baby!! She's doesn't look horribly uncomfortable, and even though she is a year and tiny she is very proportional so maybe she was a runt?? That could explain the neuro/bone issues too.

either way she looks to be in good hands!!

I feel bad for her, I have wondered why she hasn't grown. I have a juvie who was born over the winter who is now 3x her size. She was a tiny baby, but man.

Well, she was a petco buy and our last one. So god knows what's in her genetics.
