We bought a new gecko from PacHerp.com. Great experience in buying, and seems we also got a very healthy girl.

Question to all of you: We have had her for about three weeks.. We have not picked her up yet, but have introduced our hand into the cage for her to check out. It seems she has no interest in being picked up, and usually avoids our hand. I am not so worried about ever holding her, although I would like to, but I am curious as to how I can get her out of the cage with out just reaching in and grabbing her so I can clean out the cage. I want to be easy on her, we lost our first gecko after one month... Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I know Brittney likes to handle her geckos often, so you probably won't have too much trouble. For the squirmy/jumpy ones I like to make a cave out of my hands when I pick them up. It helps them to feel secure. If they are too squirmy I will put them in a hide, and cover the entrance until I have the tub cleaned out.
