Homemade Incubator Heating Question

I know that a lot of people use aquarium heaters to heat water inside their homemade incubators as a heating element. For those of you that do that which brand and model do you use? Or what other methods do you use?

I was walking through PetSmart {there's finally one with 20 minutes of me} and stopped to look at aquarium heaters as a Christmas present for a friend. I found the perfect one for her tank, but I don't think most of them would have worked for incubators. First off most of them were like 10 inches tall and half of them had internal thermostats that cut off at 78 degrees F.

Just curious. :D Thanks!

Well, I have aquariums at my house but I don't use a homemade incubator.

Make sure the heater says "fully submerisble" Even then, don't go with the cheap model. I went with a cheaper heater one time. I put my hand in the tank and I got quite the shock.

I use a submergible tank heater. It is one of those in plastic so your water turtles can't break it. I have had it 3 years and my water turtles have not broke it yet. It cost me like $35.00 for it but I have like a 200 watt one.
