Hornworm Horror!!!!

I have to crab about this!!! I ordered hornworms from Rob Misiewicz from Great Lakes Hornworms..and the UPS guys didn't follow directions and I just got my hornworms today that I should have had last week thursday and they are all dead!!!! I did contact Rob and can I just tell you he is AWESOME! He sent out another shippment so I would have live worms, no questions asked..super awesome customer service!!!!

I was really excited to get these hornworms for Bonnie to bulk up on between clutches! Grrrrrr!!!

my mom works from home so Rob is shipping them there...needless to say my mom was not sooo happy about getting a worm delivery LMAO!!!!!:main_laugh::main_laugh:

Anyone else have luck with hornworms???

Feed them off fast. They get big! Mine like them but dont love them. They dont move a whole lot so they dont really grab their attention. But they are nice and juicy so they will fatten your leo up.

Really I actually ordered smaller ones he had listed for Leo's and now that I see the dead ones Im thinkiing wow they are kinda small! Can't wait to get some live ones and see if Bonnie likes them!

Don't forget the dead ones are prob. a good 30% smaller than a live batch would be after decomposition, dehydration and all that bs. Good to hear tht Rob was willing to make good on your dead worms, darn UPS... A member on one of my amphibian forums just had the same problem, altho his arrived looking like horn worm slurry they were so dead.

Yea Rob was awesome!!! I get my fresh worms tomm!!!

On a different note I ACTUALLY got Bonnie to eat 2..yes 2 SUPERWORMS!!! )I put a cricket into the tank that got her full attention and then dropped a super in right next to her and she slammed it!!!! Tossed another in and she slammed that one too!!! SUCCESS!!!! :main_laugh:
