Hot rock removal

I recently switched out my leo's hot rock for a 8x8 UTH (10 gallon tank), will he mind that the rock is gone (it took up a significant amount of space)? Should I leave it in unplugged just as something to climb on?

You could do that. Or you could get a rock from outside and boil it/bake it in the oven to get rid of bacteria. Or you could just leave it empty, don't think he will mind too much...but maybe.
