hi i'm new here. I posted in the wrong section yesterday so am reposting here today.
I don't own a gecko but there is a house gecko which hangs out in my kitchen. it has been there about a year. for the past 2 days it has been lying by my front door. it has not moved except when I touched it with a piece of paper to see if it was still alive. it then moved a little. I put a few drops of water by it's mouth and it drank the water. I know geckos eat insects but I feel funny feeding it a live cricket. can I release it into the wild so it can hunt for its own food? but if it is sick I would not want to do that. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
