your setup looks pretty fine to me. paper towels do dry pretty quickly though, so maybe a different, denser substrate? i use sphagnum moss (which is washable, and holds moisture longer) in my moist hides. adorable gecko by the way! :D

Do u notice the pink ish dish on top of the humid hide? That is his water I think he is to small to get up there but there is no room for that and his food dish during the night. But during the day i dont have a food dish and the water dish takes its place

And I switched the entrance to the humid hide to the bottom for easier access and I added plastic and tape to cover the hole I made on top haha

I use the petstore moss (probably sphagnum) and it holds moisture for about 3-4 days. Overall it looks good. Here's my hints :) :

1) Do you have 2 openings to the moist hide (top and front)? Too much airflow helps to dry the hide and allows moisture to escape. I use a front door (as I see in one of your pics) and use a lid to trap rising moisture/heat.

2) Are you using a lamp of some sort directly over the moist hide? Don't tell anyone, but I use a 40w red lamp over the hot side for my viewing pleasure and just to keep the ambient air in the high-70s-low-80s.....but putting a lamp directly over the moist hide will heat it up and dry it out. Same tip for choosing a place on the floor...put it on the coolest spot possible to slow the drying.

3) Do you have a small dish or bottle-top of calcium-d3 to keep in the tank?

Well I dont have a top no more I covered it up with pastic and tape so no air comes out and I dont have a calcium dish because I got the rep ashy calcium all in one which ive read and people say to not leave this in your tank just dust your worms or crickets with it everyday not every other. And thank you :) I will go get some soon as I can to test it out :) and no I have him in a shelf ish thing were I have to slide him out to get to the top I just have a heat pad under one side

I use moss in my wet hides as well you can get it from most pet stores I thinik I paid like 11$for two bricks of vacume packed bricks. Its very easy to use just get a bowl of warm watter and pull a little chunk off. AND I DO MEEN LITTLE it expands like crazy. and than ijust check it every other day or so nd my Leos LOVE it.

Hahaha yah im using it well I have a love hate relationship with the clear ashtray. He sees it and for like 3 days he would hit his nose up against it and I would feel so bad. Well I would show him how to climb over and then he would down and see OH! Theres my food! But then he wouldnt remember how he did it. Well 2 nights again the worms I left in the tray were ate. So thats a good sign right? But unfortunately he didnt eat last night only the ones I put on the tank floor. Im going to get petri dishes. Go on quill.com I found 20 pack for $5.70 no shipping fees ever haha so try that it should work im going to try that

btw, if you do (i really reccomend tthis) put a calcium dish in your tank, make sure that it does NOT contain D3! D3 in large doses can be toxic to your geckos. for an in-tank dish, make sure that it is D3 free. geckos usually need the extra calcium because they know when they need a calcium boost much better then we do! :D

well, no matter what dusting supplement you use, i think there should always be a bowl of pure calcium in the tank, simply because the geckos know when they arent recieving enough calcium from dusting (even if you dust perfectly at every feeding, they might need a boost for a growth spurt or something :) ) and the bowl in the tank gives them a way to satisfy that need without the risk of D3 overdose, or a vitamin overdose :)
