Hi everyone,
First time leopard gecko owner here, so please excuse my ignorance! I've owned my juvenile Spyro for nearly two months now and he's coming up to six months old. The little adventurer is already very comfortable with being in my hand and loves to climb on my hand and arm - he's been coming up to the glass and scrabbling at it or standing and staring at me until he's let out for a climb for a couple of weeks now. I set up my vivarium with a standard layout (see pic below) - large hot hide, moist hide, a log to hide under, a fake plant and food/water/calcium bowls with paper towelling on the vivarium floor - but my concern now is that he clearly likes climbing and is using me as a way of achieving this and as much as I love being able to handle him, I don't want him to feel bored inside his viv. I don't want to completely re-arrange his tank (he seemed unsettled for a few days when I introduced the wood you can see in the pic below so I've since removed it) but if anyone can suggest improvements I could make to the environment or things he could climb that would be a suitable for a juvenile I'd be grateful! I was thinking of introducing something like this: Trixie 8818 Tree Trunk Cave Aquarium Decoration 15 cm: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies or this: Rocks Terrapin Ramp Vivarium Reptile Decoration Aquarium Rock Ornament | eBay
P.S. I have the margarine tub (moist hide) pulled forward from the wall slightly as he likes to hide behind it at times.
