I was just checking out the hovabators i got for xmas & reading through the instructions. I know they are written for bird eggs but it says something about puting warm water in a certain part of the plastic tray. Do you do that with leo eggs also or is the moisture within the deli cup only?

no need for the tray or water in it ;) I filled a gallon ziplock with water half full and put that under the screen. That helps stablised the temps because water holds temps better than air .

set it up, get it to a steady temp for a few days and fill it with some eggs:main_thumbsup: I find a closet holds steady temps better than a typical room with heat and AC fluctuation the room temps over the duration.

I would let it run for a week and check the temps at different times during the day/night

If you are having too much temp fluctuation-buy a proportional thermostat and hook it up

Helix comes to mind as a brand name and I know that there are a few other brands that people here use and they swear by them

That should keep the temps good and steady

Like SAndy said, if it runs smoothly, and the temp doesnt fluctuate, it is fine, if the temps do fluctuate, buy a proportional themrostat.
