How Big Do Ball Pythons Get?

Ok, now...I'm certainly no snake expert. But I thought they got to be pretty big...
However, I was just watching The Today show, and they have a Burmese Python which was massive, and a Ball python which was pretty small. Only about 2ish feet, the woman said that's as big as it gets.

Is that true?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I am just extremely curious. Plus I want to learn more.

Females are generally a little bigger and heavier than males. The girls can reach 4.5ft on average and the males about 4ft. The biggest thing with balls is that although they don't get that long they can be very thick. Alot of properly cared for balls will get as big around as a pop can.

That ball sounds really small but then again most things look small next to a burm!

Yeah like the others said. Around 4 ft for a male and on average 4.5ft for a female with a few very big girls touching around 5.5-6ft but thats a big girl.
One thing about balls is always buy captive bred. They are easier to feed and very very friendly snakes.

The female I had was about 5 feet. She was slightly thinner than a pop can. It took her five years to get that big.

That all sounds right. The only case I know of a 6ft. female is Dan Sutherland owner of he Snake Keeper. 6 ft. is rare.

The mother of mine was a 6 footer. She was the biggest ball I have ever seen by far. Totally gorgeous too. This is her here with my daughter.

mine is just shy of 5 feet like an inch and a half, but its hard to get her totally stretched out, but shes 18 years old, her biggest girth is about the size of my fist(i have a lil bigger fists than most) but she is a sweet heart, they are the perfect starter pet

Mine is right at 4 feet but it is almost as big around as a popcan.
