One sign is if your leos poo doesn't have any white part attached.

No white part of poop or not pooping at all can also be a sign.

Also I have noticed with my breeding female who goes off all food and water the day leading up to laying is her tail gets smaller and spikey. Then after she lays she spends that first day drinking a ton...and by morning her tail is nice and smooth and full again.
