Ok so I'm feeding my leopard geckos mealworms, and I put them worms in the bowls, and the worms they're all moving around in there but the next day they're still there. And I'm like "come on leopard geckos why don't you eat the mealworms?" and they're like "lol dude because they gotta be on the ground cuz we don't like them in bowls." and sure enough when I put the worms on the ground(like the floor of the tank) and not in the bowl they eat them! They leos aren't even leaving their homes to get them they're just goin out halfway and snapping them up, and I'm like 'how can they find their food in the bowl if they aren't even coming out of their hide!' but then even though they leave their homes and see the bowl they just walk right past it or even on top of it. how do I get them to eat in the bowl?
thanks guys

Teach them there is something in there. Pick up the worms and drop them in the bowl multiple times. Usually the noise gets the leo's curiosity going and they come look. If they dont eat it then hold the bowl angeled towards them so the worm is right infront of their eyes. Do that enough times and hopefully they learn there is something yummy in that bowl they used to run over.

I started mine with clear bowls so they can see the movement and now they just go straight to the bowl and wait for me to put food in.

Way i did, I just said to them, "Only way your going to get food is if you get off your lazy a$$ and hunt for them!" Ahahahahaha nahhhhh jk. I started by holding a mealworm in front of the Leo's face and as soon as it saw it it would follow it so I slowly moved the mealworm closer to the bowl until they saw all of them....
