i have two leos now, and i want to get a third, but i'm afraid that they won't get enough time outside of their cage each day. i like to play with my geckos for about two hours a day, and they seem very happy with me. rex even seems to know his name, and he loves to play outside. i feel like if i get another one, the other two won't be getting enough attention. i know some of you guys have like 20+ geckos, and you seem to be handling them very well!! how do you guys do it?!:main_huh:

you can easily sum up that entire paragraph in three words

"i'm a superhero"

you must have a "click" remote to slow down time hahaha

i have three, and i started off with two normals (a male and a female) off of craigslist that someone was selling for $40 (with tank, a hide, a tree, and a water dish) back in november.

a month ago, i went to a pet expo promising myself i wouldn't buy anything, just wanting to look around and get some silkworms. i couldn't help myself though when i saw 30 day old baby shtct's. although it's one of the most well-known morphs, they have always been my favorite and i could NOT pass her up. she was only $55 and welllll...i took her home.

so i've only been into leos since november and already have 3. i have two tanks and a lot of stuff in one room. i know it's not a lot, but i really need to stop or else i know i would buy every morph available.

good thing my boyfriend has more self control than i do =p

now i have a mealworm colony trying to get started because it's becoming expensive for a college student to keep buying feeders for them.

for now i spend a little more time with the baby, just cuz she's so new still. although i do take my normals out about twice a week.

LOL :main_laugh::main_laugh: I am going thru more than 1000 Crickets a week Now. I am almost at 2K crix a week

yeah, i definitely don't go through that much, but when i'm only getting 100 dollars a month for gas and food for myself from my dad, (i have no job down in college) even $10 every two weeks isn't very do-able

Ours get handled at least every other day when we change papers. They get a little visual inspection. Not a lot, just enough to see that there isn't anything obviously wrong with them. The babies get checked every day. I spend about an hour a day just taking out the ones that come to the front of their tubs to let them crawl around for 5 minutes or so. They don't get handled nearly as much as yours, but usually they have had enough by then. There are some that only get handled at paper time because they are cranky. I think it suits both parties to do it that way. We aren't stressing the ones that don't like it, but we are entertaining those that do.
