So, for my friend's 20th birthday I got her a baby leopard gecko. She's always wanted one and I thought now would be a good time.
She was meant to come up and visit for the weekend but wasn't able to make it here for the weekend and one of our mutual friends happened to be in town so she picked her up and brought her up here for the entire week. Now, instead of spending time with me, she has allowed this mutual friend to plan her whole week and I haven't been included.
I've seen her for all of 20 minutes Sunday when she came to pick up her gecko from my apartment.
The worst part is that this mutual friend lives in the same apartment complex as I do but she still refuses to come over or hang out.
How do you like that? So much for the most expensive birthday present I've ever bought a friend. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't love her so much, but she doesn't even seem to appreciate it.
So, for now, as far as I'm concerned, my week just suddenly became wide open. My boyfriend will be happy that I can spend more time with him.
Sorry for the rant. It's been a sort of hurtful span of events.
