I was in the 89 earthquake when I was very little. We were living in Santa Clara about 40 miles from the epicenter. I remember seeing our pool(and probably the neighbors pools) rushing past our back slider like a river as I was huddled under the coffee table like my mom told me. She was running around screaming wondering where I was and she was getting hit in the head with books flying off the shelves and the huge bookshelf was about to topple on her and I had to scream really loud to let her know I was okay. Our pool ended up half empty with neighbors pool toys and chairs in our pool, how it got over the fence is still unbelievable to me. This was an aftershock. The main quake I was at school and we hid under desks then gathered in a field waiting for our parents to get us. On the way home there was an aftershock and our car was bouncing on all four tires and I looked around to see everyone's cars bouncing around like they had hydraulics in them, and the ground was moving in ways you wouldn't believe. Pretty scary, kinda cool at the same time.

haha the first year I lived here in 2004 was the only year in recorded history that Florida was hit with like 4-5 hurricanes. I had to evacuate a few times and rode out the last one in my 3rd story appt. The first year I moved to Massachusetts we had record snowfall and it reached 6 ft or something like that. haha It follows me!

yea.. we were hit by 2-3 hurricanes (ivan, dennis, something else) and 4 tropical storms within 10 months time here in Pensacola. That was a craptastic stretch of time.
