I picked up about 10 pairs of Dubia's at a show this past weekend and it came with a few nymphs also. A couple females look ready to pop so i figure i could try and feed a few to the girls.. BUT NO! they wont take them. How can i get them to eat them? Both of the leos can demolish large crickets but I dont want to keep paying for them plus they stink. I got my Blizzard to eat one after about 10 minutes of pushing the bug to run past her but that was a pain. The other leo shows no interest.

Then my fat tails have coco fiber as a substrate and the dumb bugs like to burry to fast so the geckos cant get them.

Please help me! How can i get the Leos switched over and how should I feed my fat tails. I really need this to work lol crickets are a pain and expensive. Thanks guys for the help.

Show them they're food. Take tongs and nudge agenst the leo's mouth until he chomps down on it. Then make one run at him and see what happens...

If that doesn't work, you could just wait them out. Let the leos get good and hungry and they may look at the roaches differently. Don't wait too long though. Maybe just a day or so longer than normal. You don't want to stress them too much.

you can flip them on their backs in the mealworm dish, and then they'll get familiar with them... but some of my leos had to be tricked to eating one... or i think i force fed one at first... after that, they hunt them down like crazy...
