HOW EVIL!!!

Ok, so I went to the bird shop in my town today and I told the owner who's known me for over 15 years that I was going into vetrinary...she looks at me and says outright "you'll never make it" I'm just so mad right now!!! All she remembers is a very unstable child that I used to be...I used to pluck tail feathers off my birds......not exactly the levelheaded person I am right now...but she won't forget that! I asked about a Green Wing Macaw..just ya know if they raised him cause he was so gorgeous! And she looks at me like 'no way would I sell him to you'...OMG!!!!!!!!!

ok that's my rant for this month I just had to get that out!

How unfortunate that this person will not let go of her not so great memories that she has from your younger days and offer encouragement and wish you success on your plans for the future

Forget people like that. Those sort of folks are so personally miserable that they feel they need to make everyone else miserable so they feel better.

Ouch. Hey at least you're a changed person. If you knew of someone plucking feathers off birds now you'd probably be disgusted & embarrassed by your childhood memories. Next time just tell her you're no longer that kid & now you'll have the opportunity to help other kids make good decisions with their pets...that's if you ever step foot into her store again! Don't know that I would. Best wishes to get through all the hard work.
